ALASKAN SNOWFLAKE
HY-1020S-BL
Caltech physicist Kenneth Libbrecht took photographs of actual snowflakes from around the world – in this case, Alaska – for use by the United States Postal Service to create this series of stamps. Libbrecht says, "Snowflakes are wonderful examples of nature's art, crafted by the winter clouds into endlessly varying patterns."
